User Needs

We focused on the optional light features in the previous version, and we wanted to show the technology to our users to improve the trust. However, I did several tests with different people; I found that the users don't care about the numbers of the color temperature. They are pretty confused during the process because there is much information.
The users need the sensor process to be smart and intuitive. The smart mirror app is an assistant for makeup, selfie, and reading, the users shouldn't spend a lot of time tapping the screen, setting their preferences, etc.

Menu display:

I tried to include all the features on one screen, I kept the "mirror" graphic on the main screen. It's simple and intuitive to represent the functions and branding.

I did a few explorations of the main screen and the light list. I tested with different devices to determine the best solutions for user experiences. After discussing this with our engineers for their opinions on the feasibility, I decided to remove some of the circle lightness buttons because of technical constraints.

New version wireframes and user flow:

I decided to continue use our mirror shape in the new version with more variations of the shape.
The overlay components helped simplified the navigation, and fit better in the iOS environment.
